Muslim Women’s Right to Pray in MosquesNovember 15th 2019
In a brief hearing today, some of the respondents – All India Muslim Personal Law Board and Maharashtra Waqf Board – appeared and submitted that they require at least four weeks’ time to file their replies. At this point, the petitioners submitted that they too would require time to file rejoinders to the replies. The petitioners further submitted that all respondents have been served notice of the petition.
The Bench comprising Justices S.A.Bobde, Abdul Nazeer and Krishna Murari did not provide a time frame for the filing of the replies and rejoinders. Instead, it simply adjourned the matter to 15 November 2019.
