Today, the Supreme Court adjourned all the tagged matters. In the meantime, the Union of India will file replies in all matters.
Advocate Prashant Bhushan observed that if the Court were to reach a ruling in these tagged Rohingya matters, it may obviate much of the public controversy around the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 (CAA).
The Bench indicated that it will not have time in the coming 4-5 weeks to hear the matter and that it will likely be listed for late February. With this, the hearing concluded.
