The petition has been tagged along with a number of other petitions, including those related to the linking of Aadhaar with social media. When the matter was taken up, Sr.Adv.Arvind Datar, appearing for WhatsApp, in Diary No.32478 of 2019 (the matter pertains to traceability of social media messages), submitted that certain documets related to the petitions transferred from the Madras High Court were yet to reach the Court registry. Upon hearing the submission, the Bench directed that the documents be summoned and the petitions be listed two weeks later.
